Mothers' Union

The Mothers' Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide through its programmes of health education, parenting groups and literacy classes. The organisation currently has over 4 million members, women and men, worldwide.

There are two groups which meet under the umbrella of Ashbourne Mothers’ Union.

The evening group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7.30 p.m. It usually meets in members' homes sometimes with a speaker, often with food and always with support and fellowship. Members help at Baptisms by setting up the church for the services and supporting the clergy.

The afternoon group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 2.30 p.m. in St Oswald’s Church Hall. The format is more traditional with a time of worship followed by a speaker and refreshments.

At various times during the year the two groups come together.

New members are always welcome.

We are members of Ashbourne Deanery Mothers' Union together with the Hulland Branch.

Branch Leader Nancy Bell can be contacted on 01335 347915 or by email: nancyatthebeach@gmx.co.uk.
